I think somewhere around the 10/12/59 corridor would work.
Catch the MS/Slidell-NO-St. Tammany crowd.

no one is in talks with top golf to open a top golf ... there are many places with deep pockets and political connections (seriously?) ... golf is not a growing sport right now, the place is expensive, and there has to be a large enough population so that repeat business isn't as important ... br/nola doesn't have that ... people live in nola to drink, eat, and party ... not to divert their attention to expensive putt-putt ...

i'm sure local golfers would love it since it'd keep the courses clear of hackers ...

Agreed. It'd be bunch of dudes in tank tops with jeans wearing basketball shoes and drinking bud light on draft.

BR is a cultural wasteland and all the white people with jobs and clean criminal records are fleeing,, who the hell will be left to play golf by the end of the year ?

I got the population and demographics arguments when they were only in places like Houston and Dallas, but I'm not sure it wouldn't work here. Hell they now have one in OKC, with one coming to VA beach, and Tulsa already planned. BR may be able to support it, but I don't see how NOLA metro couldn't support one. Maybe they see more competition for entertainment dollars in NOLA especially from more pro sports in NOLA than those other places.
