It's impressive that he hid 2 wives from each other for near 5 years before getting caught.

If you get divorced from two wives at once, do you lose ALL your stuff?

Was this his way of avoiding the loss of half his shite in a divorce?

Bold plan there, Cotton.

I can’t see where any limits on marriage short of age of consent can now legally stand. Bigamy, polygamy, incest, whatever. Now that traditional definitions of marriage have been cast aside, there really is nothing left to bar just about any marriage so long as everyone involved is a consenting adult.

Works for me.

Depending on the wives, they may decide to cut his dick off while they’re at it.

I do wonder though. Community property wise, would he own 1/2 and the women 1/4 each? Or would the second marriage be nullified? Whatever he buys with one wife is still community property of the other...

Why is this against the law?

Well in this case....why wouldn’t it be?

You think someone should be able to have a secret wife and not tell the other?

How would you split assets?

How about splitting beneficiaries?

I can see it as defrauding the wives that do not know about each other.

The short answer is that the 2nd marriage wasn't valid to begin with but the 2nd wife can still enjoy the rights that come with a valid marriage assuming she didn't know about the 1st marriage. Putative spouse doctrine

So the 2nd would still be entitled to half of the community assets? So he just gets nothing?

Seems like based on a paper I just found, they just get split up in court.

I would assume it involves, health insurance, life insurance, and other ways people would utilize it to avoid taxes.
