February, Beth Gatny of the Euharlee, Georgia, police department fatally shot 17-year-old Christopher Roupe after the boy opened the door for the officer. Gatny was at the residence to serve a probation warrant for Roupe's father. Police claimed the 17-year old pointed a gun at the officer but the family insisted he was holding a Nintendo Wii controller
This is why I instruct my kids to have as little interaction with the police as possible. The less they see them, talk to them, and the less they are even on the radar of the popo, the better it will be for them. I tell them to be courteous & compliant, but also reiterate that the police have the power to both kill whoever and the power to get away with it.

So let me get this straight
When the OT talks about 13% of the population committing 1/2 the crime its ok.
yes
quote:
Now that you present data that 13% of the population accounts for 25% of the police killings there is no problem?
yes
where is the issue here?

You said that all encounters with the police are the same. I said that black men are constantly harassed by the police therefore making their encounters the same.

PS, this is why you're being ridiculed here. Stupid large statements like this.
You honestly think I give a shite about what people on this message board thinks about me. I am comfortable with myself. I know who I am and I those on here that pretend to be be more than what they really are.

Tamir Rice was murdered IMO. But this happens to white kids too, you just don't hear about it.
Well shame on your community for not shedding light on this. Just because white people are not up in arms about this doesn't mean blacks should take on this matter we got our own problems.
Every time blacks have a problem in this country and voice their dissatisfaction some people of a certain race have a problem with it, but they some how rally behind the gays and the transgenders when they want to use both bathrooms.

Of course not, because it doesnt fit the agenda
Neither does th8s sad fact:

On average, 4,472 black men were killed by other black men annually between Jan. 1, 2009, and Dec. 31, 2012, according to the FBI’s Supplementary Homicide Reports. Using FBI and CDC statistics, Professor Johnson calculates that 112 black men, on average, suffered both justified and unjustified police-involved deaths annually during this period.

Yep, the overwhelming number of encounters end peacefully. However, don't take a risk of someone being jumpy or trigger happy. They'll likely walk away and keep their job.

I have not heard this before, even still. Not an excuse for the guys life to be taken.

Shame on our community for not burning businesses and committing other crimes like Ferguson and Baltimore? If keeping calm and seeking justice the right way brings me shame, then shame on me.

I don't have a "community" outside the city in which I live. I'm an individual. I rise and fall on my own merit.

gotcha. So blacks aren't in the same "community" with whites and are prone to groupthink. Yet, MLK fought so hard to change that mindset.

Blacks can be gays and transgenders.
Glad I could inform you of this.
You've created this fantasy world in which black folks are all part of some community, white folks are all part of some community, until it works against your beliefs.

Lol, nice try at defense, but Iit doesn't even matter. Whether he's pulling a gUn on the cop or the white shirt, he should be shot by the cop. If that pic were from North BR, the guy would be fricking dead with a quickness.

I'm not a law expert, but is it not a lot worse to be caught with drugs when you have a weapon on you, regardless if that weapon is registered and licensed to you?
Not in places where weed is a misdemeanor or of the lowest priority.
In the South, where weed is the devil and a felony, they have these laws

There's been plenty of stop the violence rallies. If it was posted on here that there would be a stop the violence rally about black on black crime. The OT boys still would shun it.

Or if they actually cared about the cause and not just getting free TVs and being on CNN.

Weed possession is a felony now? Interesting.

This is such a stupid stat. Common sense is that if you are going to murder someone the vast majority of the time it will be someone of the same race as you.
For instance white people are responsible for 84% of the murders against white people.
84%!

Especially that story about the 17 year old getting killed. The DA first went to a grand jury that ruled she needed to be tried for killing him, then decided one grand jury wasn't enough and the same officer was put again in front of another grand jury that no billed her. She was never tried for killing the 17 year old kid.
It pays to have a shield and a union rep these days.

Black people kill white people at twice the rate whites kill blacks.
We can keep doing this for days.
