That was the biggest grocery store I'd ever seen until Super Walmarts came around.

I’ll throw in Tabby’s Blues Box. Some great times back when they would just have a serve-yourself keg in the middle of the floor.

Taste of China, where the Scientology complex is now located on airline just north of i12.

Panchos with a trip down to the Books Unlimited bookstore at the end of that strip mall building.

Broadmore Theater and the flea market. Saw such classics as The Little Mermaid and Honey I Shrunk the Kids there.

Nine Dragon next to the neighborhood Walmart highland at lee, victim of Covid shutdowns, RIP Amazing Chicken.

BR had a lot of movie theaters in the 90s for a city this size but I guess that was still in the heyday of going to the movies.

I bought most of my sports cards at the flea market at Broadmoor. I looked forward to every Saturday for my dad to take me there.

It was sorta ghetto even in the 80s but me and my dad used to go get burgers at a place called Gibson's on Winbourne Ave pretty often. I used to love that place.

This is a good one. This should literally be the example in business school that location is everything. Bailey’s was better in every way over Canes, but Canes across the street was easier to get in and out of.

The swing gates at the entrance were super cool to my 6 year old self. I’d go in with my dad to buy BEER.
The gallon of ice cream wasn’t bad either.
