It's just a TOPS-repeal away from becoming all Section 8.

Yeah with the Nicholson gateway project I’m interested to see what area around LSU becomes the next tigerland once the students move out and the trash moves in

How long before all that housing goes Section 8?

Still pump jacks at that intersection?

Rouses IS garbage.
The one on Bluebonnet is hit and miss. Pulled pork and smoked chicken are legit. Boiled shrimp is yummy but very hard to peel. Fried catfish could be the worst I've ever had.

I know Wildwood is a crappy complex. They cut so many corners on that place. I think it will be the first to go. The one directly across from wildwood has some weird designs. I don’t have much experience with the rest.
I give it 5 years tops before you see the change in clientele over there. It will slowly shift from majority students to people who just need cheap housing. The crime will also increase right there too.

see the rouses being garbage
I’ve seen a lot of crap pop up in BTR over the past decade or so but I don’t see how you can call a new Rouses garbage. Would you rather the 20 year old Winn Dixie across the street.

There have been numerous posts on the FDB from people who have purchased rancid meat from there.

Very unfortunate
I’ve never had this issue at the downtown rouses or one on Tchop by my house.
I’m impressed by the layout of the new stores though. Reminds me of Publix.

Students won't be moving to Nicholson Gateway and living under LSU's ridiculous rule. Nobody who is older than a freshman wants to live with an RA under dorm-like rules. Nicholson Gateway will be a massive bust.

Oh you're talking about New Orleans. Yeah, the complaints are only coming from BR locations. I thought you lived here, my bad

What’s Nicholson Gateway?

When I had come for Spring testing in 2016, the place was barely even up. They delayed us moving like 2 weeks, half the shite wasn't even open until November of 16.
It's a lot better than most of these college luxury apartments, looking at you UHouse, but you can definitely tell it was rushed. When we moved in they forgot to take the stack of 2x4's off our balcony.

I recall a time when University Commons were the image of greatness. Sharlow and oak Brook were pretty popular. Planation Trash and Place du Plantier. I even had friends at Bluebonnet Apts.
Don't dream it's over.

Am I wrong that LSU has plans to require freshman to live on campus at some point? I think I remember hearing something about that at some point. There is no way this massive overbuilding will end well.

Too many yutes not knowing shite about am mart, senior frogs, varn villa, and plantation trash in this thread. Inga’s same shopping center as Murphy’s. Mr Gatti’s on Monday?

This model works at Alabama. Almost all of their dorms now are apartment style.
ETA: and I’m not positive but pretty sure students live on campus longer there. It’s a rarity at LSU and almost completely non existent right now outside of ECA/WCA
