Thing is if 2000 nukes are launched this way, those missile silos will be immediately emptied toward whoever launched at us
Yeah, look how fast we reacted to that balloon.
The folks who are supposed to be on top of this are transitioning and stuff.

I love how Boise is just minding its own business and gets wiped off the map
It has an Air Force base

Fallout would get me
Fallout would depend on the prevailing winds that day and strength of the nuclear weapon and height of the blast.
I am about 30 miles SSW of NOLA. And I could be okay depending on the winds from a blast in NOLA. If the winds are from the north or NE I am screwed on a surface blast, as fallout would head south and a lack of subsurface structures, would leave many exposed to the fallout. Only hope would be a sturdy building with many floors and a few concrete walls between the exterior and you to shield from the fallout.
A typical SE wind would spread fallout all the way to Baton Rouge and to as far north as Arkansas.
But as someone said, do you want to live after the blast? Think of all the radioactive water runoff flowing down the Mississippi River from other blasts. Communication blackouts and societal breakdown after the blast when it is just the local government who is in direct communication with you. Then there are food shortages and lack of portable water in the coming weeks until society gets its crap together.

Well the northeast part I agree with anyway.

In either a 500 or 2000 warhead scenario if the intitial blast doesn’t kill you the fallout and nuclear winter would get you eventually.

Lafayette is dead center of a 500 warhead. Then, throw in all of the 2,000 warhead targets, there's nothing left of Louisiana.

I’m screwed. What did Colfax do to get bombed?

I concluded that bc of the large military presence here, I'm most likely fricked in the event of nuclear war.
More specifically, it’s the presence of all the nuclear land silos that does you in.

I’m assuming the only reason monroe is in the 500 strike is the airport. Of course it could be a target because destroying Johnny’s pizza headquarters would hurt morale

Looks like they’d send a 500 warhead through the front window of my house based on this map

Yea Louisiana is off the map. All the plants make us an easy target.

I split time in Houston and St Paul. I’ve got no shot unless I’m in the air somewhere between the two

Welp, 30a isn’t a direct hit, but if the wind shifts, we’re gonna be in trouble!
Posted on 2/10/23 at 6:35 am to stout
I’m assuming the target at Vicksburg is I-20 bridge.
Kinda confused by the dot over NE Tensas Parish- isn’t it a little too west to be the Grand Gulf plant?
