Unless you have a vagina you might want to rethink that stance.

I thought credit card minimums above $10 were now illegal? Maybe not.

I know some places have minimum drink orders, but those usually count cokes and whatnot. Usually comedy or strip clubs though. Not regular bars. Never been to a "club," so can't comment on those.

$25?

That's your own fault for going to a at that could pretend to charge that. I think you're making this up

I bet there was a sign about the minimum posted at the bar and he just failed to see it.

I'm with his stance on not paying for the privilege to drink in an establishment.

The caveat being unless there is something like a band or show going on.

Without signs how is that even legal?

it's not. That's why they'll back down with a quickness if you dispute it.

Not paying to go in your place to drink overpriced beer unless there is bare breasts or a good band

It's usually $10 and applies to credit cards. Either pay with cash or order more than 1 beer, or pay the extra to take up there credit charges for the card you swiped

that's why you hit up an atm before going out.

I'll bet the bar had one in the corner with a $5 service fee. Factor in his bank's $2 charge for using another's ATM and he could've had a $14.50 bud light, if he tipped a buck.

=/= having discretionary spending money. If you'd ever have had any sort of financial background, you'd know that. There's no greater waste in personal finance than cash sitting in a bank account.

I think it really depends on where you are going out at. You want to hit up a popular nightclub in a major city...you are paying a cover(sometimes even if you are female).

Hell, doesn't even have to be a nightclub. I can even remember The Texas Club charging covers back in the day.

So are you that one person in a group going out that always whines over a $5 cover charge?
