Does it go well with a Filson umbrella?

First by far. I can't pull the trigger on one. $400 on a winter jacket is a difficult pill to swallow in the area I live. No enough cold days.

I grew up with Rovers - the old series trucks, the Defenders, the Range Rover Classic. I love them to hell and back, but the production quality just isn't there.
And it only got worse in the late 90s and the early 2000s. You had the Freelander debacle, and then the Discovery engines started to die.
But that's also when things changed, starting with the 2005 LR3 and the 2006 Range Rover. Land Rover started making vehicles that worked, and worked well.
I despise what Tata has done to the styling on their recent releases, but I can't quibble with the build quality. Rover finally has the money to do things right.

One of those jackets would really go with my urban sombrero.

Hell, I wouldn't spend anywhere near that and we get a decent winter.

I kind of agree. And if you're going to get a Barbour get like the Ashby or something besides those fugly ones.

They're high, but my last one was 20 years old before someone stole it. Pisses me off still today.

"Hancock what do you think of these?"

Bitches love it.

It takes a long time to overcome those perceptions, especially with a premium brand.

I've got 20 year old clothes that I didn't overspend on. Beyond a certain point in price and quality you are just peacocking a label.

Guaranteed to not make it through the first cold snap.

Neither of those jackets
If you want a bad arse jacket that looks weathered, get a Filson and weather it yourself.
If you want a nice Barbour jacket, get the Bedale in olive and wear it when you're not beating the hell of the Filson.

They look too small, but 1. No way 2. Too much going on, IMO.
