Sounds like you experienced a nice slice of today’s American Pie. Not unique to Bama unfortunately……

My college orientation experience back in the 90’s consisted of a handful of friends driving to Baton Rouge for the weekend.
No parents, fake IDs, Murphy’s, Tiger Land, and I vaguely recall a couple of placement tests.
Times have definitely changed.

You are lying. I went on a campus visit with my daughter this past fall. We walked in the book store and there was crimson and white everywhere. It was so damn disgusting.

The printed schedule stated on Day 2 we were gonna hear about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for about 30 minutes.
That’s nothing. Mine is headed to CU Boulder in about a month

Big state schools are full of bums from even bummier parents. It is what it is.

Welcome to Bama brother. Buy you a drink sometime.

Auburn is nicer than bama, you're right there.
These are both also schools that have starting football players with a passing GPA who can barely fricking read
Not sarcasm.

And you know of an SEC school not named Vanderbilt that did not do that more than once in the past 20 years? Much less the past 40?
