As a man who has been happily married since 2003, my advice to young men would be to not get married.

Kind of a weird age range. Imo, people under 25 should not be married. There's a big difference between a 20yr old and a 34 yr old

Yea, no shite there's a bunch of 20 year old single dudes. They're still in college

It should be at least 25-34 if not older

Until you lookup one day and you're 40 and all your pals are married with families and you're on the outside looking in.
Have fun being someone's rebound or second choice.

However, don't do it if it's not right.
I honestly believe there's at least one person for everyone.

Best decision I ever made was not marrying my college girlfriend of 3 years and dumping her instead

Just remember one thing gentlemen, if you make it into your 30s and meet a woman in her 30s also, you might not want to ask how many people she has been with.

Let's just be honest here for a minute, even if she only sleeps with only 1 guy a year and has been having sex since she was 18, she has been with right about 15 guys. That's saying only 1 a year.

Or she will lie to you and say oh it's only a couple or will tell you the truth and you won't like the answer

I used to think the same thing. Didn't work out that way.

That being said I agree with the sentiment that one should not get married because it's expected of them by their parents, friends, co-workers, etc. It's not something to be done out of pressure or boredom or taking the "logical next step" in a relationship. If you meet someone you fall head over heels in love with you'll know. Trust me. Otherwise enjoy life's pleasure to be derived by not being tied to a woman.

male anti marriage crews are finally going mainstream; look for the trend to continue as men realize more and more that marriage is nothing but a sham

I've become a full fledged supporter of the movement.

I almost got married at 24 until I realized how I was in no way ready for that shite. I know I was nowhere near ready at 20

The amount of self-centeredness in this thread is quite amazing.

I'm 24, None of my friends are married or even in committed relationships. Playing the field is 10x better than being tied down to a wet blanket (which we all have at one point in college).

I don't plan on getting married/having kids until late 20's early 30's

Or you could be 40 with a good job and money saved and have your pick of a wide range of women.
