One is called the extravaganza and it's in the superdome with acts like Maroon 5 and Carrie underwood and the other is in the convention center with Cowboy Mouth and BTE. What do you think is the better party?

I'm just asking. Never been to Endymion

Yes. By far. Much bigger scale, much bigger, more extravagant floats, better bands, better atmosphere. Only draw back is its huge and there are tons of people there, I don't mind but some people rather the smaller feel of Bacchus. Endymion has gotten bigger in the past 4 or 5 years. Been going since I was 15. Riding since I was 18. Rode in both Bacchus and Endymion for about 12 years, Was a Lt in Bacchus and just got tired of the Krewe and their ways. Not knocking them, just not to my liking. Everyone has their thing that they like but I think Endymion kicks the shite out of Bacchus

So should I hit up Bacchus? Single ladies there? Or go down to ft lauderdale for a long weekend?

There are hot, single ladies at all of them. Most are plastered and looking for some mardi gras fun. If it's free, go and make the best of it.

Been to both and both are fun, although I agree that I'd give an edge to Endymion. Bacchus is still a blast though. Last year they had Foreigner and some other band and I had a great arse time.

Are you going with a date? Because you will get plastered and there's plenty of good lookin tail that can be pretty tempting

Dude, quit being a bitch. Either make up your mind and go or not.
Nobody here is going to promise that you will have such a great time that you get blow jobs and have sparks flying out your arse at the ball.
It's a ball. Music, drinks, floats, fun.

This isn't rocket science.

We get it. You have two great options. Why don't you tell them to us again?

Want the beach? Go to Lauderdale.

Want to go to a ball for free and hit on hot, sloppy sloots? Go to Bacchus.

Beach isn't going anywhere fyi

Bacchus as fun as your table location and group make it. If you're in the back and everyone at your table is old or coupled off, you're not going to have the best time. Conversely, if you're in a good spot surrounded by fun young folk you'll have a blast. It's not the easiest place to meet strangers since you're all at tables with friends/family and it's BYOB so you're not meeting anyone at the bar line.

The best Bacchus for me was when Will Ferrell's dad was the opening act a couple years ago.

Endymion is hit or miss. Kid Rock played until the wee hours of the morning but Kelly Clarkson ended at like 1 - barely enough time to get drunk.

Both? Good God man, I could never. I have enough trouble waking up to ride the morning after watching Endymion, much less riding in it.

To the OP... if you go to FL, who are you going with? If you've got some snatch lined up, go there. If not, I like the Bacchus Bash, I've always had a great time.

BTW, it's not a "ball." It's the Bacchus Bash, same way with the Endymion Extravaganza. They have the actual ball earlier in the year and its a member's only kinda thing.

Endymion has definitely been down as far as performers for the last few years. They have still had great headliners just not really headliners who enhance the atmosphere. Kid Rock in my opinion was the last great party atmosphere. Train was by far the worst. All still better then what you get at Bacchus though.
