We had a conception party. It was kind of awkward at first but after a little while I didn't even notice everyone standing around.

It was an excuse to boil crawfish and have family and friends over to drink a few beers. Super beta

But it's not on the list of approved reasons to have a party. Sorry, you're a beta bitch.

Baby gender reveal party.

This is the chick version of high school football recruits making a big show of choosing which college's hat to put on their head at signing day.

Both stupid attention seeking in their own way.

Throwing a party where you're the center of attention is undeniably narcissistic

The baby is the center of attention. Nice try though.

Right. The unborn BABY asked you to throw him/her a party. You're just being a nice dad (or mom? Can't tell...)

My mom did our gender reveal party because she was the only one who knew the gender

You said the party was for the baby. The baby isn't born and has no clue the party is happening. The party is for your selfie taking soon to be mom and vag men who let this happen.

And for the record, no one cares how you spend your time or what you do with your lives. Some people are just concerned with how self absorbed the world is becoming.

No, I said the baby was the center of the attention of the party. And that is an undeniable fact.

Yet you will post in this thread to restate how much you don't care for as long as anyone will keep responding. Which one is the attention craving person again?

Ok. My wife and I are not narcissistic attention whores. We would never make our friends or family pretend to act like the sex of our baby is of utmost importance to anyone but ourselves.

You obviously don't agree. Congrats on your baby turning out to be 1 of 2 choices. I'm sure you're a very special person and your baby is as well. Now excuse me while I go take some selfies.

lol you sound awfully bothered by these things...just calm down.

What's so wrong with getting friends and family together for some cake and good times? Oh and plenty people care about gender reveal.

I have an opinion. Gender reveals are fun, and if you can't enjoy them, it says more about you than the guy that has the party.

No they're not. The girl has been congratulated beyond belief prior to the party. A simple Facebook post lets the masses know if she's having a boy or girl. Baby showers are for gathering and collecting gifts. Plenty of birthday parties to attend throughout the year when you have kids.

The gender reveal party I went to was about 2.5 hours. Afterwards people were basically like "good luck on the next 5 months of pregnancy" long ways to go.
