Nope. These sorties would have flown one way or the other and this was done along with accomplishing training events. No money was spent to accomplish this.

Wow I saw those B-52s flying that way on 165 earlier. Didn’t know what they were flying for

So y'all take B-52's out like the fire department takes the fire truck out every day at 5:30?

It must be really awesome watching your tax dollars enable the fantasies of man-children who don't even know what language is spoken in the villages they bomb.

I love it when the fricking know it alls bitch about us using a pro sortie for PR. Set a TOA, log a route, flying hour program stays on target, everyone wins.

100%

Can't speak for B-52s, but my squadron schedules a minimum of 10 training lines a week... and we're just one reserve C-130 unit.

We had one fly over a few weeks ago. Pretty amazing the sheer size of that plane. Between that and the Globemasters, it's magic that they fly

My house in Bossier used to be directly on the approach path for one of the runways. We were having a big neighborhood backyard BBQ one evening and they were running a night training exercise. Every ten or fifteen minutes the party would stop as the plane roared overhead and no one could hear a damn thing for 30 seconds. A full bird Colonel who lived down the block finally said frick This and made some calls and got them to switch runways or something as the flyovers stopped. I always laughed about that afterward wondering who he talked to and what excuse he used to make that happen.
