It looks like the fighter plane accelerated into the bomber.

Just showed the inside of the smaller plane , same model plane, that crashed into bomber. There is no way he saw the bomber below him. You cant see anything below you while flying it.Total accident all the way around.Maybe better planning was needed on performing these stunts with all these planes in the air at the same time.
Looks like the little plane is below the bomber.

The pilot of the smaller plane couldn't see the B17.
BS. Most small aircraft ‘pilots’ are nothing more than average Joe’s looking for a thrill.
I wish FAA would get a strangle hold on pilot licenses. Flying an airplane isn’t the same as burning it up on a jet ski.
It appears the smaller plane pilot thought he could floor it and make the turn before hitting the bomber. Bad pilot.

Why were 2 planes in the same area at the same altitude.

Another dolt who has no way of proving his ludicrous claims.

No average Joe is flying a p-63.

No one in their right mind would try that if they saw the other aircraft in the area. The p-63 pilot lost situational awareness.
Also, you don’t “floor it” in an aircraft.

This should have been one of the first replies in the thread.

Your expertise in aviation is very apparent.

We appreciate your input unlike the op saying the pilot floored it.
Thanks

No way anyone survived that. 6 total dead

So so sad. The B-17 regularly flies over the Woodlands……man.
Prayers for all involved.

The P63 cut straight through the B17 cockpit. They were likely dead before hitting the ground.

You’re an idiot
ETA: just found out, the captain and first officer on the B-17 were two of our guys ( one was retired)
