I would baby step my way into that shite.

Take a decent amount of mushrooms later in the day so you're still under the influence when you go to sleep. The dreams I have are usually fairly intense and introspective. If you can't handle those, you don't need to be within a mile of that ayahuasca shite.

Make it into a tea, don't just eat them. Easier on the stomach, but youll probably have to do more. Grind them up as fine as you can.

What about this? I'm waiting for Colorado to get their program off than ground and running. Where is your place at?

OP, consider ketamine as well. Amazing experience that has helped IMO.

Is psilocybin legal anywhere in the continental US?

we have access to lab cultivated Psilocybin mushrooms and they are extremely therapeutic and nearly completely harmless as long as you use responsibly (more so about dose size and setting than anything else).

it’s a repudiation of millennia of human history that they are not freely available. If anyone is interested in learning about them (and fungi in general) I highly recommend the book “entangled life”. It is not a coincidence that many natural hallucinogenic chemicals are produced by fungi

Oregon and soon to be Colorado. I've read that it is extremely expensive in Oregon. Colorado is not up and running yet.

I usually just take a magnesium gummy and an epsom salt bath.

Now look, maybe Stella got her groove back down there and made an excuse, but consider this to be a roll of the dice as to how it might change your life.
The other side of that is sometimes people are trapped in relationships and have lost touch with the proper way to deal with it. I have seen married couples go to retreats together and both discover it was in their face all along: they should move on from each other. When this happens, it's usually without acrimony and in the spirit of each other's wellness - not just one person dropping the other or something like that.

I don't think I've ever seen a divorce that the person going in didn't already know things were on the rocks.

Eh. Possibly true with ibogaine. Less so with psilo.

How is the synthetic different?
Well for one, I was just pointing out that 4ACO is not similar to toad. It's similar to psilocybin. And reportedly the phenomenology is a good bit different (and it's shorter) than the real stuff. This isn't true for synthetic 5meo, which is what the reputable centers are using.

No doubt, I'd be looking more for a guided experience. There you pay for their time and experience, from what I've researched anyway.

It's a waste of time & money. Making DMT at your house is very simple & cheap. There's no need to fly to fricking Peru for a similar experience.

there are legitimate online sources for DMT, mushrooms, etc if you look around. they are all similar to the infamous peptides place ("research chemicals")

i can vouch for a few of the mushroom dealers (typically sold in capsule form, easy to meter dosage). mushrooms are easy because they are exactly what you think they are...dried mushroom powder.

i bet everyone here that is curious knows at least one person (or can be introduced to a person) who can assist with a guided dose. start small and see how you do. setting is crucial...first timers should choose a sunny pleasant day in a comfortable positive setting

I found a website called schedule 35 that sells it. I'm just leery of buying it online and it turning out to be some synthetic bastardization. Plus, with addiction history, I'm not a fan of dispensing to myself. Hopefully Colorado gets their shite together soon and has some reasonably affordable options.

I'm pretty sure it is in CA as well. My buddy will ship me some psilocybin chocolates every so often. He no longer drinks or even smokes weed; just uses mushrooms exclusively.

Oregon has a legal program that is, IMO, less than fully developed. I would not choose any place there over MycoMeditations in Jamaica.

Colorado - it will be interesting to see. You can basically legally go there and have some kind of quasi-underground practitioner sit with you. That won't be the same as a retreat and will carry more risks, IMO.

OP, consider ketamine as well.
Yes, ketamine is a decent baby step that is basically legal in every state and can be helpful, particularly for temporary relief of depression. Integration is less fulsome at many of these clinics, though. I don't love the way it's practiced in the US.

MDMA-assissted therapy is another worthy consideration. Of course, it's STILL illegal in the US (and basically everywhere) unless you are part of a clinical trial.

However, there are MANY underground practitioners that can be sourced in the States that are MAPS-certified. Many of them are nurses, therapists, etc. that are highly trained to begin with. You might not think so, but guided MDMA can be an incredibly powerful experience. It's truly a scandal that FDA declined to legalize it a few months ago.
