18 wheeler wrecked under train tressel. Bridge is open but it’s a cluster east bound.

Tow trucks on site.

Now if we can just get a wreck on the new bridge eastbound, we can really start having some fun. Maybe if we're lucky, the ferry will sink, too. Look on the bright side, someone might actually use the bridge in St. Francisville if that happens.

Avoid driving in BR & surrounding parishes between 7-9 every morning.

What is it about the MS River that makes it the Bermuda Triangle of vehicle wrecks? People get near it and lose all control.

And 3-7:30 every evening. In fact, you really shouldn't attempt leaving/entering baton Rouge until late at night, or that magical 4 hours where traffic is only "very bad" instead of "the seventh circle of hell" bad.

Largely due to 18 wheelers. Somehow, these assholes can make it across the near 90 degree vertical incline in Lake Charles, but can't manage the gently sloping 25 degree incline in Baton Rouge.

That, and when you merge 4 thoroughfares to 3 lanes that turn to 1 lane.... what could go wrong?

18 wheeler wrecked under train tressel. Bridge shut down east bound.

Great. This means traffic in the entire city will be a clusterfrick until midnight. And I am not even exaggerating that much.

Can we start charging these operators when their frick ups result in a closed highway for hours?

This happens at least twice a week on I-10.

Like an additional $1,000 fine every time a wrecker has to move your rig because of an accident that you caused. We’d have enough cash for a loop in about 10 months.
