With respect to neuroanatomy and neurophysiology, I just don't see the basis for privileging certain things as indicative of brain power, while excluding things like fine motor control. The brain isn't like a computer, nor is it simply an "intelligence" machine. It is integrative, and deficiencies of the implied scale should have other clinical correlates, which I do not see the evidence for; in other words, I'm not suggesting that there isn't a difference in intelligence between two people, but rather there isn't a justification for the implications of logarithmic scoring.
Shut the frick up, nerd

quote:Where did you get this from? IQ scores are analyzed from the perspective of a normalized distribution. Abnormalities are viewed in terms of St.Dev. A score of 101 is the same thing as 100.
Furthermore, the logarithmic basis of IQ scores that a person with a 101 IQ has 1000 times more brain power than a person with a 100 IQ, which absolutely has no anatomical justification, to my knowledge.

Yes, but I'm not talking about Forrest Hill

I don't recall specifically, but it might have been a talk with Malcom Gladwell from before I went into medical school.

So the IQ rankings are basically saying what state is the least diverse/most white. Got it.

I don't think that's right, but I never took an IQ test.

Now, if I may retain my liquids here for one moment. I'd like to continue the 'redundance' of my quote, unquote 'intestinal tract', you see because to preclude on the issue of world domination would only circumvent - excuse me, circumcise the revelation that reflects the 'Afro-disiatic' symptoms which now perpetrates the Jheri Curis activation. Allow me to expose my colon once again. The ramification inflicted on the incision placed within the Fallopian cavities serves to be holistic taken from the Latin word 'jalapeno'.
IQ tests are limited because there isn't a clear, distinct neuroanatomical or neurophysiological basis to separate what IQ supposedly measures, and overall brain function, in which a great deal of integrative function is directed toward fine motor control. Furthermore, the logarithmic basis of IQ scores that a person with a 101 IQ has 1000 times more brain power than a person with a 100 IQ, which absolutely has no anatomical justification, to my knowledge.

Haha, I can't turn off med school lingo ever. I need to learn the language of the common people again. Also that reads like At the Drive-In lyrics.

Their sole source is supposed to be an article about the IQ estimating process and the challenges they encountered. However, the link takes you to an Estonian website which translates to "Page Not Found" haha.
However, I'm not surprised to see the average IQ for LA being so low since college grads have been leaving the state for years.

Baton Rouge without LSU would be Shreveport, but with better Cajun food.

Not that it matters. LSU is there and has influenced the area’s evolution in a positive way for a long time.
