There are a ton of reasons it is going up. The average repair has tripled over the last five years. Putting cameras and sensors all over the cars makes the claim value increase tremendously. Rear taillight on my 2012 F150 was $100, rear taillight on my 2015 was $1500. 2012 new was 32k and 2015 was 38k. New trucks now are 65k. Do the math not hard.
Also if you are in Louisiana add on a lot more than that because of your stupid arse insurance laws. They pass some every now and then to make more insurance friendly but it would take y’all dozens of bills and several years to correct to a gulf south average price

$165/mo for 2 vehicles (full coverage and Med Pay), one paid off. Went up slightly but when I quote anyone outside of Progressive it's over $100 what I pay now.
Considering myself lucky as of now.

full coverage
This is a phrase that should die, "full coverage" does not exist. All insurance coverage has limits and exclusions that's why the dec sheet is so long and detailed.

Check USAA, if you’re eligible. My Farmers was going up almost 50% and USAA came in slightly lower than what I was playing prior to the rate increase.
ETA: this was for Home/Auto bundle. Auto wasn’t up as much as home, but the total price for the USAA bundle was 2/3 the cost of the Farmers bundle.

Our insurance went up about $35/month as well and I was upset about it. Don’t feel as mad now reading this thread. Our has went up right at 20% since 2020.

It more so meant that you didn’t have a deductible, so your loss was fully covered, not that every loss is covered.
ETA I agree that it should die tho.

I pay close to 3k every 6 months. 4 vehicles, a SxS and a 4 wheeler.

Won't be long before the insurance is more than the car note

These rate spikes are on everyone it seems.
My auto has gone up 40% over last three renewals. Nothing has changed from my end.
My next renewal is early next year. Bracing for yet another increase. Frustrating part is that I’m still with the cheapest carrier I can find.
