Australian wildfire: Hundreds of koalas feared dead

Hundreds of koalas are feared to have died in an Australian bushfire, animal rescuers say.
The blaze burnt through 2,000 hectares of bush containing a prime koala breeding ground in New South Wales, around 250 miles north of Sydney.
Rescuers said the deaths were particularly tragic as the koalas were a diverse breed, with one expert calling it a "national tragedy".
The native species has suffered significant decline in recent decades.

My apartment is infested with koala bears. Its the cutest infestation ever. Much better than cockroaches. I turn the lights on and a bunch of koala bears scatter. I'm like, hey, hold on fellas! Lemme hold one of you, and feed you a leaf. Koalas, they're so fricking cute, why do they gotta be so far away from me. They should ship a few over, and I will apprehend one...and hold him...and pet him on the back of his head

Given that the wildfire is in koala breeding grounds, I’m wondering if the fire started by an exploding eucalyptus tree.
I shite you not. The trees get so dry that they will combust then it catches on other trees because eucalyptus oil is so combustible.
