cops like that are forever haunted by those moments
good friend of mine was on Memphis PD and had a guy SBC on him less than a year of him being out of the academy. He got a month paid leave for "psych eval". He claims he never lost any sleep over it, but the worst part was that his brain kept replaying everything over n over in his mind. He said that was the worst part not being able to turn that off.

Democrats said this was fine when 110 pound unarmed Ashley Babbit was gunned down, so why do they care now?

Its probably not a popular opinion, but she was breaking through to get on the other side wear she could have opened the door to let other people in. Call me what you want, but I am going to be fair. It was a situation where if you crossed the line, you knew the risk. I don't think her weight really mattered.

Not not only did he not obey command he was going at him. You don't give someone trying to hurt you, enough time to actually do so.

Has it been discussed the officer had no support so he is also having to worry about what’s behind him as this junkie is threatening him.

She was unarmed, had literal cops right behind her and had no chance of getting through that door

Your honor, my client was out collecting for breast cancer research, when that racist cop cut him down in his prime.

Fair assessment, but why did no other cops fire a shot and there was a room full of them. And a line of swat officers behind her? Not one other shot fired? No secondary weapon deployed before going lethal? Cop should be in jail or have a trisl.

I remember some images and articles showing the one who shot her was the only one with finger on the trigger while the rest of the agents or capitol cops were positioned defensively to prove congress members and aiming guns towards outer entryways and at least once he was aiming with finger on trigger while a congressman was standing nearly right in front of him. He also shouldn’t have been there that day as he should have been suspended or fired for some previous issues including firing a gun off duty, leaving his gun behind in a public restroom at the capital, and leaving his post. Most likely was only still around due to being black.

I don’t know exactly what it would have taken for the others to fire their weapons first or if they would have first made it clear that they would fire at her if she continued before doing so. She also might have continued regardless due adrenaline, but I don’t think she breached the window and was just looking through what someone else did. At a minimum that guy shouldn’t have been there, and he damn sure should not have been made into a hero by Nancy and given raise and paid security services including living on the Navy base for a while. They kept him hidden and tried to claim it was for his own safety instead of his record of ineptitude.
