Any word on this guys history? I’m willing to bet he has a long record and some shithead judge recently let him off for something.

It was clear it was either a black guy or an illegal when it took days for the mugshot to come out.

Auburn police do not have this issue. It was out within hours of the arrest.

Yep. Auburn PD was the dept that told the BLM protestors not to come to campus and warned them if they did they wouldn’t put up with it. It’s about as far right as a force gets.

Came out once he was processed. They definitely didn't wait too long or try to hide it.

I can’t copy the images from Facebook for some reason, but from James Spann’s comment section on his announcement of the arrest, people have posted the guy’s previous mugshots.

I’ll say person that has been arrested multiple times with some of them being violent offenses.

And from Montgomery. I wish Auburn was at least another 50 miles from Montgomery -- or Montgomery would clean up its act. Maybe MeeMaw could ask Trump for the National Guard.

This case went from weird as hell to "not surprised" pretty quick.

Look around the south end of the park, which appears to be an extension of the park. I lived in Alabama of and on for years (yeah, I know), and your "hmmm, that's not right" antenna gets attuned to areas like that farm/trailer park.

I've been to this park countless times. It's a great park and the area is not sketchy. It's just another miscreant coming up from Montgomery to look for victims. Auburn, Southern Union, and Tuskegee students live in Auburn and are vulnerable prey, as is a single woman out for a walk with her dog.

Though a very popular park, it is 124 acres and while quite a lot of it is open fields, there are some wooded areas where someone could hide. It's not uncommon to see a police car parked there, though they often pull in just to talk or eat lunch.

Sadly this part is what doesn't surprise me.

I live in a smaller town in south Louisiana now, and the occasional Baton Rouge/New Orleans spillover is likely 80% of what little problem we have with violent crime.

If you moved it away from Montgomery it would be closer to Columbus

I mean....their credibility is at rock bottom anyways after Covid. It's not like people trust them.

True... but absolutely neglecting the reporting of certain crimes , makes people feel a false sense of security. Not everyone is chronically online enough to know about these underreported crimes.

Not sure how the people that commit these crimes are walking among us and can be human

A sizeable percentage of the population is soulless. More predator/animal than human.
