I would never drive a 4 wheeler with my wife on the back while I was drunk.

Sucks for the guy but he has awful judgement and he will likely pay the price. Rightfully so.

4 wheelers and boats are dangerous enough without people operating them while drunk.

Nobody is saying that he shouldn't be punished, and he should carry some extra guilt, but calling it homicide is a reach.

? No they're not. Those tests take <1 hour to return.

They don't take an hour if they are drawn in the ER. I did an alcohol blood test last night. It goes to the crime lab.

calling it homicide is a reach.

"Homicide" merely means the killing of someone by another person, whether justified (non-criminal) or not (criminal). Killing another in self-defense is still a homicide.

Yea but would your sister want her husband grieving in prison? That is asinine. If my wife made a poor decision with no intent to harm me that ultimately killed me, I would not want her in jail.

Using the word Homicide, implies intent. If you kill somebody in self defense, they call it justifiable homicide, because you intended to kill your attacker, but were justified in doing so. JMHO

Is an ATV the redneck version of a doctor buying a plane?

A Bourg man HAS BEEN BOOKED with vehicular homicide after the ATV he was driving crashed and threw him and his wife off, killing her, State Police said.

The police will investigate and present its findings to a DA...who will determine what if anything he will be charged with.

My 2 cents.
