ATT fiber optic lines.

I live in a rural area and the only option for Internet is the dish antenna. And it's slow as hell even though we are paying twice as much compared to broadband. But we have fiber optic lines running through are property but can't access. Anybody else have the same problem?

Just because you have fiber running through there, does not mean you have internet running through that fiber

Agreed. I have Starlink at home and a Starlink mini in my RV. It's fantastic.
I'm still blown away by the mini. The thing is the size of a notebook and can run off a battery.

IF you have talked to ATT and they are telling you they can't do fiber at your house, consider starlink. If ATT ever does offer fiber on the property to you, you can always switch.

If a HOA pays for ATT to run to their property, they will run fiber in front of every yard on way there and not offer it to anybody.

The way it was explained to me is this.
ATT has a port with 10 lines that service a neighborhood. Once those 10 lines are filled, unless they have about 8 more houses that want Internet, they aren't going to add another port just for you.
Long answer short, get Starlink like everyone what is saying. It's been awesome.

That was the case for DSL as they were no longer expanding that service. As others have said just because you see the white poles showing fiber doesn't mean it's for residential use.

They ran it through everyones yard off a country hwy to service a business quarter mile away. From that location, all the way to the town I live by has the att post sticking out of everyones yard. Iam already paying 100.00 for crappy Internet. I want to get off dish and go to streaming. Might have to get starlink. How much is the equipment and setup for it?

Do you get good cell service? Get the Verizon or T-Mobile home internet box.i get 85mbps download, 15 upload with it.

I get awful cell service at home. I have T-Mobile, and it works great when I go shopping in Shreveport, but sucks at home. Iam constantly having to switch between house and T-Mobile during peak hours. When using T-Mobile at home, it switches between 4g and 5g. When it goes to 5g, it won't do shite.
But that's a price I pay for living in the country. But at least I don't have to worry about getting robbed or my car stolen.

Do you have any other options nearby? Are there any businesses that could be serviced by a fiber run?
Spectrum and REV are both more accommodating than AT&T. I talked to all of them for over 6 years, but started going deep back in 2020/COVID.
REV needed just about commercial business/building to justify the expansion. Spectrum, if we had an HOA, would have run it right away. AT&T never even responded or followed up.
Eventually we got Spectrum to approve the project and installed. What’s funny is as soon as the project was approved and permits requested, AT&T immediately followed. After talking to them, apparently they all monitor permit requests and will build in areas others have approved. AT&T still hasn’t offered the service, Spectrum has been up for a couple months now.
Without all those options, Starlink is great. Much better than traditional satellite. Much faster, no download limits (depending on plan). Equipment and monthly price are higher, but better than nothing. Also, will still have trouble in heavy thunderstorms although better than traditional satellite.
You can buy used equipment for about half the price. People like me who got fiber are always looking to unload their Starlink equipment.

Im paying $120. Starlink just had a great deal for $299 for their equipment (think it is originally $499). I had it installed in less than an hour.
And its truly unlimited.

The only options are via SAT, Hughes and att satellite. I had att satellite at one time but they charged a lot of you went over the cap limit. Was paying 150 a month. I am outside of town corp. The houses here usually have 5 acres. But each one has the att white and orange poles sticking out of their yards. I have three of them at the corner on one side and two of them on the other corner. Every time I give my location to see what's my option, they all say broadband not available.
