3 hours to drive through basically no matter what time or what day you are trying to get through it, and for which there is essentially no way to bypass the place.

There is another thread on another board where some of the Atlanta residents contend traffic is not bad here.

Huh? Compared to where? Housing here is actually pretty affordable.

Tell us which paradise you are moving to.

sounds like a you problem .... downtown sucks, but lots of great neighborhoods (Inman Park, Va-Highlands, O4W and on and on). I live in NOLA, but work in ATL a good deal and it has a ton of good restaurants, music venues, parks, mountains less than 2 hours away. Not to mention money to be made and ladies, so please go back to wherever you need to as not to trash the place up.

William Tecumseh Sherman had better time in Atlanta than you’ve ever dreamed of having.

Yeah, unfortunately your experience was directly affected by your choice to live in an area that really isn’t a great location for a younger single person. Had you chosen to live in midtown, Virginia highlands, buck head, Inman, hell even Five Points, you would have an all-around better time

Atlanta seemed like a cool place to visit, although it's been 23 years since I was last there. There is plenty to do.

And there is Mr. V's Figure 8 Disco.

Most of those have expensive housing except Boise. I'd live there in a heartbeat but my wife wouldn't go that far north

Not trying to shite on Boise. But it isn't exactly the first place I think of when someone says "I'm planning on moving out west".

On a random note, I always feel bad for Boise St football team when they end up playing a bowl game in their home stadium. It's like "Hey can we place go somewhere warm and sunny for a few weeks please".

I lived in Denver before I moved to Atl for a job. Almost took a job in Boise before that. I loved the town. I can also realistically buy a house in a decent location there unlike Denver.

Most major cities suck. The charm is in the suburbs. Norcross and Roswell are both nice little parts of Atlanta.

Not to mention there's almost no crime/culcha and a lot to do outdoors.
