Screw you ATT.
quote:

AT&T announced another round of DirecTV and U-verse TV price increases, saying that monthly rates will rise by up to $8 per month starting on January 19. "Because our programming costs went up, we have to raise our monthly prices for select packages," AT&T said in a notice titled "TV price changes for 2020." An additional $2 increase on the Regional Sports Network fee means that some customers will pay another $10 per month.

Easier to beat the dying horse than try to nurse it back to health.

Its like taxing the hell out of the rich. It won't work for ever.

Dropped them for YouTube TV a few months ago. Absolutely zero complaints.

Went with YouTube TV months ago.

I don’t understand why anyone continues with cable television.

If ESPN would sell a bundle package, I’d pay $25/ month for it and never look back. I don’t watch anything else.

The ATT business model should be the model by which all business schools teach what not to do.

Once cable leaves streaming costs will go up.

Between internet service and streaming platforms, I don't think in really saving any money. However, the flexibility and mobility is worth it nonetheless.

Yeah, but with bundles and shite, it cost me like 20-30 more per month as a standalone package.

I cut the cord roughly 5 years ago, and my all in streaming and internet costs are probably as high now as they were then. That's a win.

I'm not sure if I would have Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, and YouTube TV if I still had cable. That's the key question.

Never renew a 2 year contract, and if you’re lucky or unlucky enough to be a long time customer since 2005 for me (Hurricane Katrina) always talk to Customer Retentions at the highest level. The only reason we still have DirecTV is because me or my wife (Wife is better than me, less attitude) always call and speak to someone who keeps the bill at the same rate, if not lower and usually a couple premium channels are thrown in for 3 months. However AT&T and all of the companies they have gobbled up are quickly becoming a monopoly again after being broke up by the federal government once before.
