Bank of America is leaving from downtown to their soon to be new spot next to Kyle Warren Park.
We recently stayed at the Fairmont Dallas and walked around downtown on a Saturday and it was dead as hell.
That's still Downtown sir. A better part of Downtown but still Downtown

Yeah but that's not Dallas. Dallas needs those tax dollars, this will weaken it's worldwide profile and appeal
Dallas is old news. Most of the real money has moved up the DNT. Frisco is really the new future Urban Core.

The AT&T Discovery District with the Exchange Food Hall is great for downtown Dallas. We have been going there yearly for the past 8 years for our daughters' annual Adidas Lone Star Classic volleyball tournament.
The homeless population is getting out of hand; we had to walk through homeless encampments just to get to the convention center.

ummmm... you don't live here clearly
Dallas, will not suffer even the slightest. It would probably help our job market out.

the downtown of every city is important. Look at Baton Rouge…it is cratering from the middle out
Lol DFW is a lot different - I mean I guess for Dallas proper it could be and issue but everything ne is out in Frisco anyway

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Dallas ranks fourth in the nation in black migration. Js.

Downtown Dallas has always been arse
For nightlife, it's been dead for decades. But for business? It was and is pretty huge.

and has only increased ten fold over the last few years... Whatever weird narrative you rednecks want to believe
Yall would rather other places fail to make louisiana look better, than improve Louisiana.

I love it but I wonder what the future for those things look like with AT&T leaving. I know most people don't like downtown but I do ... lots of great memories very little bad ones there. Also great lowkey food and hang out options there ... very underrated

They will probably build a new headquarters near the airport, north suburbs, or move to ATL.

Is Ewing Oil still downtown or is JR just working remote from Southfork?

Not a lot of people have. I work in Telecom so when the news hit today that Elon/Starlink bought AWS-4 Spectrum, the people who are smart are starting to see the writing on the wall.
Is this why they've stopped putting up new cell towers?

No money in 5G, trying to gap with network splicing/splicing features, until 6G (which is just AI + mmWave).

Covid change everything - they proved you didn't need to. W downtown to run Ewing effectively and despite RTO from competitors they are holding out

its an abomination that almost every big city in the US is a shite hole over run with vagrants.
Lol. I often wonder if some of you cats have ever been in a major city.

Man, 20 years ago, I remember visiting Dallas and commenting how clean it was. Sucks to hear how shitty it has become.
Isnt this the case with pretty much every major city? Look who runs them. Even Salt Lake City is turning shitty, once the cleanest, most whitebread city in the country. Theres a certain class of people that are determined to turn our cities into Third World-grade shitholes.

AT&T is a staple in Downtown Dallas. If they leave due to the crime and homelessness in downtown it will be "White flight" corporate edition. Many more will leave. Neiman Marcus which is another downtown staple is about to leave too. I can't imagine Dallas without these 2 juggernauts. Every thriving metro needs a thriving downtown core in my opinion ... especially in 2025 I used to visit Downtown Dallas often for work so this is sad to hear. Even though Downtown Dallas has improved a lot in the last 10 years, the reputation of the area has countered all that. It wasn't nearly as dangerous and dirty 10 years ago as it is now. I mean the homelessness problem has always been bad but it seems to be getting worse
Great news for a what has a been a great stock the last 3 years.
