I expect a lot of truth

Years ago, when I had tons of free time and no job in college, I was hardcore into crossfit and fitness. I was eating super clean- I'm talking plain chicken breast/lean meat and veggies for every meal, hitting macros to a T, and doing strenuous workouts 5-6 times a week.

I got to around 185-190 of solid lean muscle (5'10), shredded six pack for first time in my life (and only time, I'm a hard gainer, not good genetics). Could run a 5:30 mile, deadlift 560#, squat 405. Perform all the advanced crossfit movements effortlessly.

Looking back as I try to get back in shape, no clue how I did it
It's a lot easier when you don't have the stress of a full time job and a ton of bills. I was super obsessed and basically devoted my life for a few years to that, probably in an unhealthy balance bordering on addiction (could be addicted to a lot worse). What about the OT?

I based my fitness on how much tail I was pulling I couldn't tell you a single max lift or mile time. Just height and weight.

I was in the Corps for a decade as an 0321 and 0372

I was built like a brick shithouse for those 10 years

I'm in good shape now but don't even compare to my youth

I'm 6'4 and about 280 now but I carry it as well as you could hope. I can still move around much faster than anyone gives me credit for.

In my late 20s I got down to about 210 or 215 and it was just bizarre. That was the smallest I have been since I was about 14 but I could trail ride for 4 hours non stop. it pissed people off so bad because I could literally just keep going. I wasn't ripped or anything and don't claim to be.

I would honestly like to get back to about 235 or 240 this year. I have been battling achilles tendinitis for the last two years so anything more than walking will make my foot feel like it was beat to shite by a hammer. Not awesome.

Senior year of football in college

195 pounds at 13% body fat

4.6 40 time

305 bench max, 9x 225 on the rep test

275 incline max

255 power clean max

475 squat max

Was able to do a double stadium snake at old Amon G. Carter Stadium, had no issues with the Magic Mile as well that killed me 2 years earlier and caused me to pass out

Working my way up to getting back into that kind of shape again. Right now 162 pounds probably 12-13% body fat. Visible abs. Did 5x230 on the bench this morning.

Never was a good distance runner even when I was in tip top shape

Good thing I didn't really need it. Longest distance we ever ran in TCU offseason was 400m and that was only once a year, we had to do 5x400 on the first day of summer workouts. If you weren't prepared(aka were a lazy shite in the month of May that we had off) it was torture.

I had hair like silk and would actually hover above the ground for seconds at a time when running the 100 yard dash.
