So ironic to me that race relations SEEM to be worse when everyone had so much hope when Obama was elected. I was sort of pissed at Beyonce yesterday who said "Stop killing us!" Where is she when blacks are killing each other everyday in NBR? Why does't she leave her multi million dollar Tribeca condo and come visit the streets and preach family, education and laying down your guns. Why can't she look at the statistics of those who have 15 line rap sheets and help fix that? I feel bad that men are getting shot-it sucks. Blame isn't going to work.

Both areas have their issues. One is not really worse than the other from my experience living around the country. Bad apples and good ones everywhere--usually the former arrive the minority.

Ditto. Have lived in both places and have family from both regions on both sides (one side being black and the other white, of course ).

With regards to race relations, consider that the Congressional Black Caucus in D.C, those who should be considered the leaders of the black community simply by their profession, this morning blamed the Dallas murders on ....guns. Not one word said bout the mass shootings/killings of blacks by blacks in Chicago over the wkend. And the wkend before. And the wkend before, till the city is on pace to break the record on number of murders in a city in a year.
