I'm assuming this same thought process fueled the idiots who just murdered 5 police officers. Hopefully you're just young and dumb hanging out on social media too much.

At what point will white people stop apologizing and say enough is enough?
I've been saying it for a long time now... just waiting for the rest of you fricks to catch up.

You know what, what pisses me off more than anything is that a lot of people are assuming that race played any role in the officer involved shootings of these two men. Most people ignore the facts, or lack of facts, and are writing their own narrative to these stories. Hiring an attorney less than 24 hours after your loved one is shot by a police officer, is very telling of the motivation of his family.
I refuse to apologize for events and happenings beyond my control. There are good and bad cops, there are good and bad blacks, there are good and bad white folks. If a police officer is found to be in the wrong, they deserve to be punished. Police officers involved in shootings, and other altercations with black people, are automatically guilty in the court of public opinion.

You hate it here...then fricking leave. I am sick of all the small-minded ridiculous chatter led by manipulative leaders with an agenda to keep this Country off balance. Get out if you can't be a part of the solution. We don't need or want you here.

is a direct result of the BLACK man not giving a **** and not raising his kids and being a positive presence in his community
This is as least partially the result of a culture that has developed where even when a kids parents are together they never get married, because it allows the mother to claim to be single and get government assistance, even when the father has a job that would disqualify the family from receiving that assistance. Ask someone who worked getting home loans back in the housing boom and they saw this scenario every day, the women would be very open about it wanting to justify why they were not married for some reason.
The problem is that marriage is hard, and when you are just living together and not married it is easier to walk and not put in the work to sustain it. Another contributing factor in my opinion is the hip hop culture that is so focused on getting yours and F everyone else.

What demographic accounts for the majority of violent crimes?
Black males. Police deal with this daily and know this all too well.
Do you think a cop is more "jumpy" as he's dealing with a white guy with short hair wearing a Polo shirt or a black guy with dreads wearing a baggy arse t-shirt?
It's called perception and experience.

That's gonna be a sad day if it happens, but it just goes to show how bad our political leadership, both local and national, actually is. Just the fact that it is a possibility is a sign of how bad things have gotten because of current leadership and their own agendas.
I don't put up with BS or apologize for what I do right now, so it won't effect me

I do not believe for one second, that either one of these situations had anything to do with the guy being black. Of course not much is known about the events leading up to the video taping (after the shooting occurred) in MN, but I don't believe that these cops said, "I'm shooting you because you're black". I believe in both situations that the police officers involved feared for their lives and their own safety. They would have, without a doubt in my mind, shot a white guy if the same situation unfolded with a white guy.

Which, btw, is stereotypical and racist. Just look at Minnesota and ignore BR for a second, you really think that man gets shot if he is white? It's an officer who assumes the worst based on the skin color of the individual. Racism. Flat out. And the longer we think this is ok, the worse it will get.

quote:Correct. And most cops feel more threatened when dealing with black males.
I believe in both situations that the police officers involved feared for their lives and their own safety.
quote:Not really. When a cop sees a white guy who's "dressed well" reach into his pocket, he most likely doesn't assume he's reaching for a gun. A young black male wearing a "hood uniform" reaches into his pants, all bets are off.
They would have, without a doubt in my mind, shot a white guy if the same situation unfolded with a white guy.

You're only making this worse. This was a peaceful riot, they have plenty of peaceful riots, this was just a couple of wackos who took advantage of the situation. You keep looking at them like animals and talking to them like animals, guess what an animal does when it's poked and prodded. Plenty of guys on this site had it right last night, instead of going into a race war, we've got to make a stronger bond between cops (white cops especially) and inner city kids. I've coached all black football teams from the ghetto and they have some of the sweetest and most caring people you could meet. Also, do some browsing, plenty of black people are sickened and enraged by this incident. I'm sure you'll have some who celebrate it like idiots, but don't blame plenty for the actions of a few.
Glad to see someone is still rational, and not going full stormfront this morning. Damn fine post.

It's based on perception and experiences of the officers. It's personal profiling based on your own experiences. It's human nature, it's how we perceive threats to ourselves.

I'll apologize when I need to apologize but I won't take credit when it doesn't belong to me nor will I take blame when it doesn't belong to me
