However I was very idealistic and married based on my romantic idealism. We were married for 20 years before I screwed it up, but I still have strong feelings for her and her for I. We still talk occasionally.
Things have definitely changed some over the years, I went a bit crazy after my divorce but even then knew the difference from a fling and what I want from a partner.
I really do like long walks on the beach...

I think hugging and forcing them to stop is uusally the best method. My Ex swung at me a few times(Puerto Rican girls..Jesus) and I just pushed her into the wall or bed and held her till she stopped the crazy.
If my life is on the line. No holds barred.
If say a girl is assaulting my GF with a weapon for some reason I'm swinging or bamming that girl real quick to save my GF. Luckily doubt this ever happens.
Other than that...really hard to see a reason. I know I can overpower most women and just pin them. Though if won't stop after awhile I may slam them hard to let them know I'm done with the situation and they aren't winning here.
Then..
There are some very bad women. Who hit like a man. If you hit that hard...then I'm swinging. But most of those are bull dykes anyways.

The 2nd time was a barfight, plain and simple. 1 guy started it, I ended that and his buddy stepped up. Buddy will never take another step again. Broke his back over the edge of the bar when I flipped him.

I get that and I agree. What I was eluding to was that romantics like sex too and doing all of that mushy stuff would certainly gotten him laid.

I learned from my older brother during childhood that guys will hit back very, very hard when attacked. There was a lot of punching and running away real fast on my part.
Men should not be ashamed to defend themselves against any assault regardless of gender. Trying to be a gentleman could get your eyes clawed out.
