At what age did your little Pacelynn start playing T-Ball?

My son just turned 3 but he’s big for his age (fat, steady diet of moon pies and Mountain Dew) The league is for upper 3 year olds and 4 year olds but I’m thinking that if we are going to make nationals, I need to get him started early. I’d also like him to make it to high school before his first Tommy John’s surgery so don’t want to start him too soon.
Jabs at travel ball parents aside, how young is too young to start them playing?

6 months before my son started t ball at 4, I started him on a weight lifting program. Nothing serious but by the time they started he was crushing the ball.

Dumbass females trying to outname the other dumbass female. And the spineless men that let them get away with it.
Sad.
Sad.

Mine skipped straight to 12U AAA travel ball. No time to waste with those booger eating kids playing in the dirt. Gotta get ready to be drafted out of 8th grade!

If you're not hearing from scouts by age 4, you might as well hang it up

Can’t wait to see you and Braxton’s dad fighting over who’s son is better at 1st base

As soon as he stands up. Bat in hand. Gotta get that muscle memory down.

I’ve already got my son’s name and “dad” on the back of about 25 cut off sleeved shirts. I’ve spoken to my wife and she understands that probably what’s best is that we go ahead and get a divorce so she can have (son’s name)’s mom and we can each find a new spouse and get (Dad/Mom #2) shirts made for them.
I’m also working on changing my diet and activities to become as overweight as possible. Not crazy overweight, but just enough to where I look fit the profile. Any other suggestions?

Get ready to be blasted by the OT for this or any baseball thread.
One started at 3 because he asked to play. He enjoyed it. It was boring and painful to watch but he wanted to play. My other started at 5 and when he was 7 said he was done. Unlike most of the posters here who have a negative few on kids sports, do what your kids enjoy to do with them. Ive got a teenager and already starting to fear the things im not gonna get to do with him in a few years.
Keep it fun at all ages

Age 3 is pretty late to start putting your team together. Better get your shite together.
