Which one was it?

If the pic above you is her, I think it's Carlene Beyer.

Interestingly, there's another Beyer on the team - Brystal. A sister, maybe? I wonder how that went over.

Sounds like he tried being one of those modern husbands, got disrespected by his wife, and then decided he'd had enough of her disrespect.

Evidently, Assistant Bowling Coaches ain’t the smartest people in the world.

Texas Law:

quote:

Texas law prohibits a sexual relationship between an educator and student. An improper relationship with a student can result in a criminal conviction, imprisonment and financial penalties. Even if the relationship is consensual, an improper sexual act between teacher and student is illegal.

Stick three fingers in her, throw her in the gutter, and she keeps coming back for more.

It doesn't seem that coaches are considered educators under that law.

I mean isn’t adultery technically illegal still? It just doesn’t get prosecuted really.

Actually only illegal in some states and TX isn’t one. So the baw is in the clear.

Your link is relating to public school districts (K-12), not specifically relating to colleges or universities as is the case in the OP. I can assure, coaches are educators K-12 in Texas and must be certified.

From the article in the OP:

quote:

Consensual sexual relationships between faculty and students at the college level are not prohibited under state law, but many universities have policies in place prohibiting those types of relationships.

My link is actually from the law he posted.

(a)An employee of a public or private primary or secondary school commits an offense if the employee:
(1)engages in sexual contact, sexual intercourse, or deviate sexual intercourse with a person who is enrolled in a public or private primary or secondary school at which the employee works;
(2)holds a position described by Section 21.003 (Certification Required)(a) or (b), Education Code, regardless of whether the employee holds the appropriate certificate, permit, license, or credential for the position, and engages in sexual contact, sexual intercourse, or deviate sexual intercourse with a person the employee knows is:
(A)enrolled in a public or private primary or secondary school, other than a school described by Subdivision (1); or
(B)a student participant in an educational activity that is sponsored by a school district or a public or private primary or secondary school, if students enrolled in a public or private primary or secondary school are the primary participants in the activity; or
(3)engages in conduct described by Section 33.021 (Online Solicitation of a Minor), with a person described by Subdivision (1), or a person the employee knows is a person described by Subdivision (2)(A) or (B), regardless of the age of that person.

Does that apply to colleges or just high schools?

Wouldn't be the first time a college athlete from Wisconsin was caught up in a scandal.

I'll let the OT detectives decipher what I'm referring to... can't mention specifically without getting banned.
