I'm not. I think people look retarded in those things. But I'm going to start keeping one in my truck since more and more businesses are requiring them to enter their store. So I guess I'll look retarded too.

I am on your side of mask wearing, but the way you approach this is all wrong. That confrontational attitude is going to fall on deaf ears and put walls up

Also, ice cream.

ETA: but I don't have an opinion one way or the other on this. I don't even have a face or ears.

This!
Also I was at Whole Foods and masks are very popular there.

Thankfully that idiocy hasn't made it here.

And oddly enough, we only have 232 Covid deaths. It's almost like a one-size-fits-all solution isn't the right answer.

So you will be turning in all of your vehicles to the government since operating one could be putting someone’s life in danger, right?

And you will be wearing a mask at all times for the rest of your life since you could at any time be unknowingly carrying an unknown fatal disease and therefore putting someone’s life in danger, right?

Yea? You go to a lot of restaurants that expect you to consume the services they offer while wearing a mask?

Was waiting on a reply like this...

Why do you think we have speed limits on highways? Why should we obey them?

Yeah, that's right... Safety.

Then surely you’ll have a great answer prepared....

quote:

Why do you think we have speed limits on highways? Why should we obey them?

.... except you didn’t. Instead you attempted some pathetic sidestep.

Despite all of the regulations in place, tens of thousands of people every year still die in car wrecks, and many times more are injured. That could possibly be reduced by people playing their part and not driving.

So again, you’ll be turning in your vehicles to the government to do your part in not potentially putting someone’s life in danger, right?

And I noticed you forgot to answer the other question about wearing a mask at all times for the rest of your life. Why is that?

Nope, didn't sidestep anything. You brought up a dumb comparison and I actually gave you and equivalency. You brought up car accidents when discussing pandemic safety measures.

Speed limits are equivelant to masks. There's an inherent danger but we implement measures to make these activities safer. Do you wear your seatbelt?

I try not to speed and I wear my seatbelt because I understand these inherent dangers exists and I accept them, and I do what I can to be safer.

Actually, 1.25 million American die in car accidents annually if you didn't know.

I won't wear a mask when the danger of contracting the virus is low.

Just like I don't wear sunblock at night. The hazard isn't above my threshold of concern.

If this reply doesn't satisfy your stupid arse, I don't know what will.

How many of them were following the law when this happened?

Well I'm glad you finally understand the point I was making.

Here in SC, the danger of contracting the virus is a rounding error. If even that.

Reason anyone should wear one is to protect others from yourself. Not that that matter to all of the selfish pricks in this thread.
