I posses me off that we don't do something about people driving like a jackass. Speeding by itself is not what I'm talking about. Riding arse, swerving, cutting people off is what I'm talking about.

Morons don't realize that most rigs are governed at speeds below 70. If one is governed at 65 and the other at 63, it may take a bit for them to pass. If one is at 63 and the other at 63.5, it's courtesy for the one being passed to knock it down a mph or two to get him out of the right lane, but some folks don't. The governed trucks will become a greater problem if the ATA gets their way and the Feds mandate them to be used in all trucks, right now it's just multi-truck carriers that really have them in place. Also, the elogs forcing drivers to set max speed and get as far as they can in an 11 window is a huge issue - but the Feds are about to make those mandatory as well.

I understand what you are saying about it possibly taking a while for Truck A to pass Truck B, but I also know that there are some truck drivers who simply get their rocks off by blocking both lanes for miles and miles. When you see a mile long band of cars stacked up behind two trucks and no one in front of them...that's not the governing.
Now, in no way am I condoning what this jackass did. Obviously to say he was wrong doesn't even need to be said. I am just saying that it is possible that the truck drivers themselves could have had something to do with the accident as well. I don't know...just not ruling it out.

BUT, I sure hope this wasn't one of those times when 2 truckers sit side by side and think they can control traffic.
I hold a special amount of hate for truckers who think they own the road.
I don't see this mentioned anywhere other than the trucks were side by side. If not the case, this guy should be put away. A man is dead.

Never in my years of driving have I heard of truckers bragging about blocking traffic. There are some dumb bastards out here that don't seem to have an ounce of common sense though, but all I hear on the CB is other drivers shredding the slower trucks for being in the way.
I looked up that company the deceased drove for, and they don't have governed trucks. Highly unlikely that he was road blocking unless there was a slower truck in front of him.

You have never seen what I am referring to? You have never seen a long line of traffic completely stacked up behind two trucks riding at the same speed in the left and right lanes? You think that is just them not paying attention...for miles and miles? I have seen cars swerving behind these trucks flashing lights trying to get the one in the left lane to get out of the way...but they don't. They stay there and without any doubt in my mind, it is completely intentional.

The hatred of car traffic by truckers is so well known they have a term for them: "4 wheelers".
Are you going to argue there is no animosity between truckers who think the interstate belongs to them and those annoying " 4 wheelers "?
