It's not like he vehemently shut the door there. Nobody really knows what happens. I personally believe that as long as we've accepted Jesus Christ as our savior, and we have a relationship with Him where we ask for (and truly mean it) forgiveness... Aren't we pretty good to go?
I'm pretty sure the whole 'Let's Judge Arnold!" approach is also kind of a no-no when it comes to the Big Guy too.

Heaven is a man made construct created to make us feel better about the fate of our departed loved ones. It’s a better thought to think they’re in heaven rather just worm food in a plot of land across town. In older times it was used as a tool of control. Do these things to get into Heaven, or else you’ll end up burning in hell!
