Where the Field Artillery is and all male Basic Training. Other than that don't know too much about it. Most people I know who were stationed there didn't like the area much ,but your son is just going to basic training so he will be out and going to Sam Houston afterwords.

Do they secure from outdoor activities when it is too cold?
I know some Southern Basic Training Commands wont allow you to PT/Drill outside after a certain heat index is reached

Same thing with cold. I think if the wind chill was below -10, we did PT in the gym instead of going to run in that shite. Might see that in Oklahoma, we def go it in Missouri
