It’s offensive but not for the reasons listed in this thread. I wouldn’t even say offensive, but pathetic.

It’s pathetic that people still profess undying loyalty to and faith in a God who doesn’t care enough to keep his sheep safe while they’re worshipping him. He either doesn’t exist or doesn’t care.

It truly does blow my mind that so many in here really do believe in God and his divine plan, and part of that plan was to allow 2 children to be slaughtered while professing their faith. Just bizarre.

And yet they still pray for you and your loved ones. Hardly pathetic. How you told your parents you're gay yet ?

Read history, going back before the revolution when it was illegal to be a certain religion in certain states? The Boston Commons was the place where Quakers were hung.

They should pray for kids going to church now

It is sad that they actually have to pray for kids who are going to church because God doesn’t care enough to protect them without encouragement and adoration. And without hiring an armed officer of course.

How long should good people maintain a defensive posture?

If the devil wants a fight, then let him have it. The left has embraced the devil for quite a while now. At some point, it's going to be time to destroy their cult.

God gives everyone free will - the shooter used his free will to shoot up a church

The kids were using their free will to pray to God.

The choices we make with our free will affect others. But God does not take away our free will.

I went to Mass this weekend, read the Bible, and am reading a religious book - I want to win the Mega-Millions, I should because I’m giving God praise and adoration, right? But I know a bunch of people doing that, a lot more of those people are better than me and perhaps more deserving, but God doesn’t do what I want. His will be done - even if we don’t like it or understand it.

Most churches have members who are concealed carrying. In LA it’s legal with the church’s permission.

I work security at a church every Sunday. They have an entire team of armed dudes strategically stationed throughout the church.

The Catholic church I mostly grew up in and my parents still attend has hired an armed police officer for years to constantly walk the inner parameters and checking doors and such during Mass.

We have an armed police officer at our church for every mass, and all doors except the main entrance are locked to the exterior when Mass begins. We’ve had an officer present since we started attending this church 8+ years ago.

"He said to them, “When I sent you forth without a money bag or a sack or sandals, were you in need of anything?” “No, nothing,” they replied.

He said to them,* “But now one who has a money bag should take it, and likewise a sack, and one who does not have a sword should sell his cloak and buy one.

I'd still prefer 30%+ of the flock be armed than one cop.

Agree to disagree. But stop avoiding the real question. Have you told mom and dad about the dicks you’ve smoked or not ?

I know we have people who conceal carry as well, but we do have an officer in uniform with a patrol car parked outside.
