Fireworks? You can't shoot them in your backyard? I live in a residential neighborhood and it's common for someone to shoot something in their backyard. A few weeks ago the dude two houses down from me took out some squirrels that kept getting in his bird feeder....

Hook a hose to your lawnmower exhaust and carbon monoxide them.

Yeah you can find powerful enough 22 bullets that arent too loud.
I live in the city in a neighborhood and I've shot several possums and armadillos with my 22.

I hate these assholes. I have one in my yard my dogs keep chasing away. Well, I haven't seen it in about a week, but that sucka was around for a good 3 weeks.

Had a den full of them under my house once, then they started cranking out babies. Several of the babies I was able to run down and catch by hand (with gloves). I was lucky in that there was just the one hole going in and out under the house. I put a trap right up against the house at the opening and caught them one by one.

The leprosy place down at Carville used to buy all the armadillos I could round up. Let your finger do the walking and give them a ring before if falls off.

Moth balls. They hate ‘em.

They are blind as shite, so they are super sensitive to smell and touch. Bomb their burrow with moth balls and they should relocate.

Go to The Armadillo Trap on the web and buy a $90 scented trap. Find out where they nest (generally under a deck or porch) and put the trap at their exit point. I have caught approx 20 of them in 2 years. You either kill them or relocate them at least 6 miles from your home; otherwise they will return to your home. Good luck.
