That is unfortunate since it will be basically impossible to determine what happened.

How do you not turn the body camera on?

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — The results of the investigation into an Arkansas deputy’s fatal shooting of a white teenager during a traffic stop has been handed over to prosecutors.

Lonoke County Prosecutor Chuck Graham said he had received the Arkansas State Police case file on the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Hunter Brittain (pictured) during a June 23 traffic stop.

Graham said he’s sent the file to the state prosecutor coordinator since he’s requested a special prosecutor to handle the case.

Brittain’s shooting by a Lonoke County sheriff’s deputy has drawn the attention of civil rights activists nationally. In his eulogy at Brittain’s funeral last week, Rev. Al Sharpton said the issue of policing is not about Black and white, but right and wrong.

Yeah im sure all the people doing burnouts in the parking lot in Lonoke County where Trump got 75% of the vote were liberals.

Get rid of qualified immunity so these trigger happy nut jobs have to think twice before ending someone’s life.

And then you effectively lose any police power. No sane policeman would ever attempt to do their job due to being sued.

There are bad cops and those who make tragic mistakes, but those making this some overwhelming problem aren't using numbers to back their case...because they don't exist. If police were the menace police haters made them out to be, it wouldn't be safe for anyone to come out in public. And woe be to them if they replace community law enforcement with federal shock troops and/or social workers.

I guess Al canceled it to spend more time with the family in Arkansas. LINK

He must have thought he was dead when he saw the bright camera light. Had to square up with God so he would let him in.

Based on your description, it sounds like the kid quickly got out of the truck and reached in the bed of the truck to retrieve the oil jug. He could have just as easily been retrieving a firearm.

I know I keep my gun in the bed of my truck

They should have a boot camp similar to military and it should pay 60k a year.

Like the Louisiana State Police?

ETA: this "boot camp" is where the military mindset of "shoot first, ask questions later" is instilled. They actually need to move away from this nonsense.

Does this actually mean anything, or is it just standard procedure?

In other words, does the fact that the state police “handed the case over” to the prosecutor mean that they are recommending charges? Or is that always how it works for any kind of high-profile investigation?

Being from Beebe this family is well known for its run ins with the law.

Whole family in and out or prison

Drug issues throughout the family.

Grandfather killed his brother and then cops shot him across the street from my house when I was a kid.

I’m ready for the whole story to come out.

Interesting.. I grew up in 16th Section. Right out of Ward on 319 and HWY 5... Love the BeeBe Sale barn on Saturdays.

The grandfather shooting his brother? The grandfathers brother? Name wasn't Randy Roo was it? Randy was shot by his own brother years ago.

But yeah, there is always more to the story.. also. 3am? fixing the truck to be at work by 6am or up all night doing meth?

and.. see.. cops don't just kill black folk...

Strangely, I got downvoted 3 times thus far; which seems odd. I don't think I could have made a more innocuous post.

Yeah, the whole thing is pretty fishy. I’m not saying the cop isn’t guilty, but there’s a lot of context in the shadows.
