F—- the authorities and bureaucrats for arresting and charging the father.

Well, you have that wrong. The way this should work, assuming it went down as we all suspect, is that the father should be arrested; bail should be set low; and the jury at the trial should come back with “Not Guilty”.

The nullification of the law must be in the hands of the people, not the bureaucrats, otherwise that power would end up being abused.

This is the perfect example of why we need normal conservative adults to serve on juries. No way a normal mom or dad returns a grand jury indictment or a conviction in criminal court here. But all I ever hear about is how people want to get out of serving on a jury.

My favorite part of Plauché video is that he hangs up the phone before shooting him.

Especially if he actually was talking to someone.

The arrest immediately after the incident is "OK", whatever. But how the frick was he already charged with first degree murder.

Cause the cops are 100 percent covering their arse and will dump it on the DA to have the balls to cut it. They had to “do their duty”.

No. The way it SHOULD work, is the cops say death by suicide, nothing to see here, you're free to go. Without him ever feeling a handcuff or seeing a police station. That's justice.

Maybe by charging him with first degree, he’s looking at it like it’s the hardest to prove and knows there’s no way that will happen or that a jury would convict. If the charge is lesser and doesn’t require as much proof then maybe the dad ends up getting convicted and has to spend a few years locked up. Kind of an unconventional way to approach the situation but it might work in small town AR

I volunteer for that jury. Any father would do the same thing and be willing to face jurors to ask them what would they do if they found a grown man with his 14 yr old daughter.

I bet the jail was happy to get him out on bail quick.

Small town jail, may have had a scene from a western with people demanding his release.

He was actually talking to EBR Parish District Attorney, Ossie Brown who coincidently was a personal friend and Plauche was trying to get Ossie to talk him out of killing his kid's karate instructor. During the call, Ossie was doing his best to alert the marshals to stay on the plane, but then, you know the rest...
