Is there anything remote enough to not notice?
The entire Midwest.
Iowa
Kansas
Anywhere with a shite load of farming

Short notice? As in I have like 4 hours to get somewhere I know would be safe for a while?
Floyds Island about 11 mile canoe trip into the Okeefenokee Swamp from SFF State Park. Hard as hell to get to especially the last two miles. Hell, the State Park is in the middle of rural timberland itself. One old cabin out there from the 30s with a big arse fire place. Deer and hogs all over the place. Fish, gators, turtles galore. The insects suck but I know old timer ways to offset that to where it is manageable.

I would say the Ozarks. Back in the 60's an Indian turned up somewhere there that had lived so isolated, not only had he never heard a radio, he had never seen a road.
I'd like to hear more about this. Got a link to any info?

Grand Isle to my camp. 2 BIL's have camps on the same street. After I get my family and in-laws on the island, I'm blowing the bridge to GI, so you better get there before me.
Bring lots of 5.56 and 12 gauge shells. Plenty of rabbits and birds to eat besides all the fish, shrimp and crabs.

Rural Northeast Tennessee, Southwest Virginia and Southeast Kentucky.
There are a lot of places to hide in those mountains.

I just got done with my second summer vacation:
The first one included a drive south on I-25 into New Mexico and easy on I-10 out of El Paso to SanAntonio. I'd say 90% of that drive is through desolate wasteland. I could hide out in those mountains and never be found.
The second one I came from Natchitoches down South, but crossed into Texas on LA 6/TX 21. Some of those camps look straight out of another era.
