Area 51 is just a test range for aircraft and drones. Nothing more. They have a really, really long runway which implies they are testing very high speed craft. Perhaps rocket propelled or nuclear powered craft. I also suspect they are testing spacecraft there (or at least very high altitude craft).
If they had UFO's they wouldn't need runways.

Used to work at Nellis/Creech. The Nevada Test & Training Range surrounds Area 51 used for fighter trsining including stuff like the USAF Weapons School (AF version of Top Gun, but way bigger). There’s a large square block of airspace that’s a no fly zone even for USAF aircraft. Saw two incidents of violating that airspace. Both required to RTB immediately. Pilot whisked away to be “debriefed” while the aircraft was confiscated and it’s data scrubbed.
