Hell yes you Cretin! We wash paper, plastic and everything, before we throw it in the creek out back of the house.

I wash my junk. Sometimes I soap it up and wash it a couple of hundred times in rapid succession. You never can be too clean, you know.

I don't wash my trash.

The time, energy, wasted water and sewer costs sort of cancel out the benefits of recycling. Any more than a cursory rinse while I'm already at the sink for something else = diminishing returns.

BF washes out ice cream cartons before throwing them away. I don’t get it.

If you don"t, they develop body odor. Especially in the summer.
