Possibly, but I’ve kept up with the SLI thread so I doubt you are full of shite. It’s more the ratio of checking to 401k he provided

Yes, but a starter house, an F150, an Escalade, a 26' bay boat, a year of travel ball, and 6 Starbucks pumpkin spice lattes/new pair of Uggs for my basic bitch wife doesn't leave enough change to fill up my truck.

No. I’m in a good financial position with some assets and a catfish farm, but as a guarantor on a 3 million line of credit for the farm I could lose a lot or everything with a couple bad years. It requires my attention to detail, good planning and decision making and hard work to keep that from happening. I could get rich if things go well the next few years.

I define rich, or wealthy, as being in such a stable financial position that money is never an issue and you have little to no substantial debt that could ruin you.

People do dumb shite. Being on a bank board, I'm shocked at how many people have a $million or more in non-interest bearing accounts. Good for us, but damn. I guess it's a flex, but I don't get it. Maybe that's why I got put on the board in my early 40's while they're taking out 9.5% loans they could self finance from their non-interest bearing accounts.

I want every dollar I have (minus my survival/shtf stash) earning for me. I don't really keep that much around btw. shite is too hard to stash, even if you steam iron them 100's flat and shrink wrap it.

I could retire tomorrow in my 30s if I wanted to. Have been very fortunate. We also don't spend very much money. You run out of shite to buy, and usually nicer things like expensive cars and boats end up being more of a pain in the arse than anything else.

I am rich, because I still draw breath,
I am alive, and in living I have more than the wealthiest corpse.
I can love, I can laugh, I can smile.
Money can be made...and I don't have much. But I make do, and in making do I'm in a better spot than billions.

I'm not watching my loved ones blown away. Not living in squalor, with dirty water and rancid food to eat.
Hell, I have an 80" TV my late grandfather would lose his mind over...and it didn't even cost me much.

I could look around and lament what I don't have...and be miserable.
But I look around and see I have more than enough to get by. A comfortable bed, a woman that loves me, healthy children.

There's a billionaire parent of a kid with a terminal illness somewhere that would trade places with me in a heartbeat. And I would decline.

I don't need all the money in the world. Because I've got all the love I need.

Peace

So you haven’t needed money since you were around 15?

I meant since I became an adult. I never had to work, but generally children dont work before 16 or so.

I had a few jobs in my teens and twenties and started my own business with a friend in my late twenties.

I was born into a very fortunate family situation and never needed to do any of that, however.

I am poors. I have zero side by sides or boats. I have to listen to Florida Georgia line in my suv because I don’t have a truck to jam out to it in. Maybe chicken will let me start a GoFundMe.

I think so. I have made all the right decisions in my life and got a little luck along the way. I never expected to have as much money as I have in my 401K…though very few people know I have it. I am very secure financially, but live the same standard of living I always have lived.

If restaurants define if u are rich…

If travel destinations define if u are rich…

Don’t let that control you.

Besides, your number parameters are BS. Trust me.

Yes but there are levels to this shite. I’m currently level 4.
This list is actually dead on although I’m still working my way through the levels so I can’t say for sure on all of them.
