There was a time when women would refrain from speaking their minds. To do so could/would garner a beating. Women tended to only have those conversations in private settings with their peers. The same with African Americans 50 years ago "what you say boy? Get a rope!"

I think I see the same manifestations today, but not between men and women, but between lower and higher IQ people. You may see something but not speak a word about to the person for "fear" of violent escalation. I use "fear" in quotes to say it's not actual fear of not being able to take them, but fear of legal/societal backlash.

Like the Stanford PhD Chemical Engineer & Environmental Scientist who told some low class people that they were burning charcoal in a non-charcoal area and all of a sudden she was demonized as a racist for having to tell people to read the posted signs. News stories about her, posting her personal info, almost getting her fired...and the low class guy who was illegally burning charcoal runs for City Council with support from the public.

It seems that the higher IQ are oppressed by the threat of violence. "please don't blast your music so loud...WTF u gone do bout it". This "strong arm" culture to me is oppressive.

I don’t feel oppressed. I see where there are more and more idiots in the world. You can’t argue with an idiot or teach them anything.

YOu are getting downvoted into oblivion but your premise is 100% correct. The lower iq folks want to cry out wrong doing, injustice, etc when someone of superior intellect calls them out on their bullshite. Usually the race card or some other discrimination card is played and the media eats it up.

Someone playing music too loud; throwing litter on the street, etc. has nothing to lose and that’s why you can’t win. They’re hoping you say something. Use your resources to avoid them. Live in a decent neighborhood and send your kids to a good school. frick the $.30 you could save at Walmart. With a little forethought and a moderate amount of hard work you can mitigate your exposure to almost nothing.

I’m not sure oppressed is the right word, but I don’t engage in political debate. Even on here I’m careful about what I say. There are people out there that will crucify anyone for not aligning with their exact beliefs. Employers and people in power just feed into it and hang others out to dry, because they’re so afraid of any negative publicity that it might cause. I’m not losing my job or having my name dragged through the mud because some sensitive bitch doesn’t know how to deal with a fragile ego.

I don't know what my IQ is but i've always been treated as low IQ. You get used to it after a while and it's kind of nice to not have people bothering you for advice ever.
