That's because it fricking gross. Let's hang around sick fricks all day getting all sorts of bodily fluids on them and then go pick out bananas.

Just wear a t-shirt and a pair of joggers, how is that any less comfortable than scrubs

Not sure what brand it is, but some of the female nurses I work with have scrub tops with shortened sleeves. Almost like Todd off the show Scrubs. Need to find me a pair like that.

As a nurse I had landau cargo pocket scrub pants that I now use to cut grass in. As an NP, I have the cheap landau one pocket scrubs that I only wear to and from work.

However, I am hearing that the comfort level is much better in 2023. I may have to start wearing them again if I can find a comfortable set. I would love to wear tennis shoes at clinics again. I miss that.

You should click through the FIGS ad on this site and check it out. Win-win.

Some folks on military deployments/exercises sleep in them, that's all I got.

Didn’t see that coming.

Pretty common, especially in the Health Physics (Radiation Protection) departments. It's hot as hell in a lot of places in a nuclear plant, since many areas have no AC, so it helps to have something cool and comfortable to wear.

Had a buddy in HS who's dad (non-medical) would wear scrubs to the grocery store back in the 90's. He claimed it helped him meet women because they assumed he was a doctor

I have a pair of figs that I call my dress scrubs for days where I’m in hospital setting but not in surgery. You have to wear hospital provided scrubs in the OR at most hospitals.

they are comfortable af compared to normal scrubs but the idea of waking up and putting them on knowing I wasn’t going to work is cringe.

Ladies on other hand are welcome to wear them whenever they want. They really show off the bolt ons that 99% of nurses have

I work in healthcare, but am not a clinician. I have had several sets of scrubs over the years as I sit in on procedures and things like that as an observer. I wear the pants at home as pajama pants occasionally, but that's it. So my neighbors might see me get the mail in them or something.

They are very comfortable.

I had to wear them for years. One of the happiest days of my life is when they went in the trash when I retired. Not comfortable and polyester. No thanks!

They make them differently now, very soft - they used to be miserable unless washed 1,000 times, you're correct.

She has a Stanley, but she brings her coffee in an old school R-Tic tumbler…

My daughter, on the other hand, I think is unofficially required to have a Stanley at Dominican…
