Seems like this should be for kids only. Just watched some video with Chris Pratt leaving a building signing people's crap. Same for athletes.

I really don't give two craps about autographed stuff. Seems odd to me that grownups desire a person's signature on a DVD case or magazine.

To each, his own I guess.

I prefer to get a selfie with celebrities because it just means more Facebook likes for me to reinforce my insecurities and boost my narcissism with.

I think it's pretty silly honestly. The only time it's acceptable for adults is if it's an athlete or maybe an actor. Maybe a musician if you really like their music.

I like autographed sports cards because of their rarity (the ones that actually come in the packs). I don't have much interest in standing and getting something signed.

Right circumstance yes.

Local bar had a promotion with a former NFL player. I happened to be there drinking anyway. Got him to sign a picture for a buddy's birthday that day addressed to said friend wishing happy birthday. buddy really enjoyed and it didnt cost me anything.

You got the Willie Roaf at Hooters in BR, I bet. I have the same hobby. I have an LSU mancave and I have about 50-60 signed memorabilia. Anything from Nat'l Championship footballs to all 6 Nat'l Championship baseball posters, helmets, and about 30 or 40 8X10 pics of players taken in-game.

No. There is no problem at all if a kid wants his favorite player to sign his ball, jersey, hat, etc, and if someone is a huge fan of someone.. and they get that person's autograph, good for them, but I would never seek out to get someone's autograph especially if they are in public doing something in their personal life.

I know if I were having dinner with friends at a restaurant and people constantly came up to me asking me to take a picture or sign something for them... at some point I would I would get a reputation for being an a-hole because I would have to draw the line at some point.
