it's possible, but does take lots of time, self reflection, discovery, etc. i think meditation helps more than anything, but that can also have adverse effects in some people, it also takes a whole lot of discipline and someone to guide you if you don't know what to do.

You just need someone to babysit in case you find yourself on the subway in Philly... they’ll remind you to put your sunglasses on to become invisible if you start to freak out.

there's still transformation or what I think of as transcendence where you master that part of the self and take on a new internal challenge.
the "pill" just helps you to better plan the journey without the neuroticism that can keep you crashing into rocks as you try in vain to navigate the waters. as supremely ironic as it seems, it can act as a moment of clarity amidst the chaos.

speaking from personal experience?
i once found myself surrounded by hundreds of big, hairy, gay bikers in amsterdam. it seemed like millions of them at the time.

Wasn’t happy yesterday after a colleague made some shitty comments about my teaching.
Feel happy today because a different teacher - a hot one too - sent me an email about how awesome I’ve been.
Life is ups and downs. Sometimes the ups are more than the downs. Unless it’s Nottingham.
