Great reply. When you think your life is shite, just watch a documentary on some 3rd world country, or even about half of Europe, and you may appreciate how great it is to be lucky enough to be born in USA.
I'm not rich by American standards, but my family is blessed to have a home, food, and the freedom to choose....a lot of other countries don't have anything near that.

I visit an elderly woman (93 years old) in a Retirement home about 3 times a month. It's for my church.
She has Alzeimer's and it's quite advanced. She rarely has a lucid moment. When she DOES have such a moment, she usually says something indicating that she's ready to die and is tired of living that kind of life.
YES, I'm sure that she, like the rest of us, was, at some times, happy.

You should be grateful for what you have, even if it’s the simple fact that you were born in the USA. Easier said than done, but there are billions of people that live fulfilled lives and have much less than you
