I work very hard until it's time to go. Then I'm out, leave everything at work. I'm staunchly against giving away free work.

Make better investment decisions when you are younger. Smarter not harder.

I view work as a means to a pay check that funds my family. I may enjoy it also but it never cuts into my time if I can help it.

I've never heard of anyone on their deathbed saying, "I wish I had spent more time at the office".....actually, quite the opposite.

I tell people this all the time.

I work as much as I need to so that the job gets done right. I do not want my mind and nerves wrecked when I retire, or shortly after I retire.

You have to balance work, family and health. If you ignore any one of them too long, you will pay a high price at the expense of the others.

1. Your health
2. Family
3. Work

I'm to the point that my employees are knowledgeable enough that I only have to give occasional direction and instruction. I spend more time networking and brainstorming than I do doing any real work. Maybe 25-35 hours a week.

.5g of psilocybin honey, a fat bowl, and three fingers of Glenfiddich open up all kinds of ideas.

I work nights and work in the office of a warehouse that warehouses Hershey candy. We get slow at points in the year where we have to stretch to have work for 40 hours. But coming up here in the next month we will start the holiday push and people will be able to get anywhere from 40-72 hours in a week. When that time comes I'll snag around 60 a week. Not due to me being a workaholic but because being in the office on nights I have a pretty easy job to snag the extra 20 hour of OT a week.

My perspective is that everyone should view themselves as the hardest working person at their place of work. If you can't say that then your employer should replace you. If you're the owner and don't view yourself as the hardest worker then some other owner is doing it better....unless you're content with your level of success. In that case

If THAT'S your crappy attitude, your company should REPLACE YOU! Do your job right and work hard, but work ain't everything.

I am at the office or field over 70 hours a week, and never really off work in the summer. Winters, I might work 4-5 hours a day.

Kind of a weird situation for me. I'm one lazy frick by nature. However, I own a small business and don't mind the tons of hours I put in to it.

For me, it's been a lot easier to bust my arse for myself than it is for someone else.

I don't take well to being ordered around or given ideas on how to do things if I think I could do better, for better or worse.

Agreed 100%. Even though I work more hours, I feel freer than ever.

Hell no! I hate getting up every morning and going to work. I only do it cause I have to. Soon as I'm able to retire I will.

I enjoy what I do, because it's outdoors related. But I'll retire as soon as I can, I don't think being a cog in the machine is something I need to do, if I'm able to afford to live otherwise.

I work 7 days on / 7 off

I'm staring at the clock til 5 when working, then borderline unreachable on days off.

I enjoy getting shite done but I'm not dedicating my life to work.

Same deal for me except 14/14. I don't even bring my laptop or work phone home anymore at the end of a hitch.
